2011 Ford F250 overheating again coolant was low

2012 Ford F250

Recently my truck began to overheat. I checked and saw the coolant was low so I refilled it. Today my truck began overheating again and the coolant fill container was empty. Also there was a bad smell after opening it. There is no white smoke from the exhaust and no signs of coolant in the oil.

You are in luck! All you need to do is find the leak and fix it. This can be done easily at home with the right tool. I use a Coolant System Pressure Tester to assist in locating the coolant leak. And a coolant leak is for sure what you have since you have already discovered the loss of coolant.

Hook the pressure tester up just like in the video below. Pump it up and easily locate the source area of the leak. Then of course once you have located the bad water pump or whatever, fix it and re test the cooling system with your new coolant system pressure tester in order to insure you do not have multiple leaks.
