Why are all the dashboard indicator lights lit?
This is normal until you place the ignition in the “ON” position and once the engine is started the lights should go off and a few seconds.
INSTRUMENT PANEL
Caution: On hybrid models, disconnect hybrid battery system prior to performing repair procedures on this vehicle.
- Place front wheels in straight ahead position.
- Remove lower No. 3 steering wheel cover, then No. 2 steering wheel cover, Fig. 1.
- Remove steering wheel pad and steering wheel.
- Remove front door scuff plates.
- Remove cowl side trim assemblies.
- Remove lefthand lower instrument panel finish panel attaching bolt and screw.
- Disconnect hood lock control cable and remove air hose from instrument panel finish panel.
- Disconnect electrical connector and remove lefthand lower instrument panel finish panel.
- Remove steering column cover attaching screws, then covers.
- Remove lower instrument panel finish panel.
- Remove instrument cluster finish panel.
- Remove combination meter retaining screws.
- Disconnect combination meter electrical connectors, then remove combination meter from instrument panel.
- Remove instrument panel No. 2 under cover sub assembly.
- Remove lower instrument panel sub assembly.
- Remove center console as outlined in Floor Console.
- Remove No. 1 and No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.
- Remove upper console panel sub assembly.
- Remove instrument panel No. 2 register assembly.
- Remove radio receiver with heater control panel assembly.
- Remove instrument panel No. 1 register assembly.
- Remove instrument panel No. 1 speaker panel.
- Remove instrument panel No. 3 register assembly.
- Remove instrument panel No. 2 speaker panel.
- Remove No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.
- Disconnect any remaining instrument panel electrical connectors.
- Remove instrument panel attaching bolts, Fig. 2.
- Remove instrument panel from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
a. Torque driver’s side air bag module screws to 78 inch lbs.
b. Torque passenger’s side air bag module bolts to 15 ft. lbs.
c. Torque steering column cover to 18 inch lbs.
d. Torque steering wheel nut to 37 ft. lbs.
