when i crank the truck the check gauges light comes on and the temperature gauge goes all the way over to the hot side, i can kill the truck then re-crank it and it goes to normal, what could this be.

It could be a failing gauge cluster or a sticking temp gauge sensor or loose electrical connection at either.
My 2002 dodge sport is tanning like crap,missing,choking ,dies on me took it to have the engine light turn off three times,help please
