Am looking at buying a p/u that someone put a supercharger in. He said that Monster Truck in Florida built the trany to gear low for the supercharger. Feels like the truck won’t come out of low gear and accels quick, but decels just as quick. Am I getting into something I don’t want.
The simple fact that you have to ask that question would lead me to believe that this is something you should steer clear of.
Sounds like a 4×4 left in 4 low range to me. This would account for the fast acceleration and deceleration. Also, most 4×4 trucks will top out at 35 mph in Low range. If there is no high range you can be assured you won’t be driving this on the street.
If this is a purpose built Monster Truck you might want to ask the seller a few more questions on how it is set up….
