the vehicle stopped and they said it was the alternator so we changed it and it ran good for a few days now it stop again battery dead and the inside lite does want to come off battery was tested and it says it is taking charge

You said “the inside lite does want to come off battery was tested” . Could you please explain a little better? Is the battery light coming on? or is some light staying on and running the battery dead?
