I recently bought a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer. The timing belt broke and has been replaced. I know this car has an interference engine and was wondering if you could tell me what I need to replace

If the engine is running I don’t know that you need to replace anything for another 60k to 90k miles until the timing belt needs replaced again. However if it won’t start since this happened then we are looking at a tear down and examining the valve train for bent valves, damaged heads and or cracked pistons. Replace as needed kind of job.
Generally when a timing belt breaks on an interference engine there is risk of internal mechanical engine damage as well.
What happens when a timing belt breaks?
