  1. Trying to replace alternator. It is lose but can’t come out>> At the top the obstructions are: Where its fasten at top the bracket and wiring cable fastened to bracket that crosses over the alternator from timing belt cover and wires to components to carburetor and a hose to the carburetor however at the bottom is a CV-joint and splash shield in the way so how to come out the bottom or top however would removal of tire and splash shield do it? Help please?

  2. Yes it does come out the top. I had to use cable ties and carefully move the wiring against the carburetor and tubing too. Remove the Alternator splash shield to get my hand to the other side of the alternator and I had to remove it with the top bracket that attaches the alternator at the top and remove the dipstick tube. You may find other things to remove however the more you carefully move out of way the easier it comes out or goes in – its a bit tight – however its a struggle and the cable ties made it easier.
