2006 COLBALT WILL NOT FIRE UP

I CHANGED ENGINES ON MY 2006 COBALT TO A 2007 ENGINE AND NOW IT WON’T FIRE UP . THE 2006 ENGINE HAS ONE CRANK SENSOR AND THE 2007 HAS ONE CRANK SENSOR AND ONE CAM SENSOR DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM  ? THERE IS NO FIRE TO THE PLUGS , AT THE JUNK YARD AND SEVERAL MECHANICS  THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE SAME ENGINE AND IT SHOULD NOT MATTER , BUT THE DEALER SAID IT DID MATTER  ,THANKS

  1. It may be worth checking with the local parts store to see if the engine computer is different for each year. If it is, then you may need to update the sensors on the replacement engine to match the computer installed in the car.

  2. Thank you ,but I did that already , but the 2006 is missing a sensor for the cam so I ‘m going to pull the 07 engine back out and replace it with a 06
